Nonna’s Rice Pudding

 
 

what you need:

4 cups whole milk

1/2 pint heavy cream

1/2 cup Carolina rice

1/2 cup of sugar, scant

1 tsp vanilla

cinnamon

what you do:

bring milk and heavy cream to a boil in a sauce pan. add rice and sugar, stir, and simmer for about an hour until thick and creamy. stir frequently. when rice is cooked add vanilla then cool in desired serving dish. top with a generous layer of cinnamon.
