Brown butter…butter

Less of a recipe…more of a call to action to make this immediately.

what you need:

2 sticks of salted butter

what you do:

brown the butter. aka heat butter over medium heat, whisking constantly, until butter is foamy, smells nutty, and you see little brown bits (6-8mins). remove from heat and pour into a bowl (ceramic or metal). place bowl in another bowl that has been filled with ice and a bit of water. Whisk melted butter until it reaches a spreadable consistency (7-8 mins). you may have to change the ice if it all melts.

serve with whatever your heart desires. some suggestions: smear on bread, cook veggies in it, fry eggs in it, mix with cooked pasta and parmesan, use in cookie recipes, you get the idea!
