Hot Habanero Margarita
Not for the faint of heart… or mouth.
what you need:
2 oz tequila
1 oz lime
1 oz fresh OJ
1/4 oz habanero simple syrup (or less, depending on spice preference)
1/4 oz simple syrup
what you do:
for the syrup: combine 1 cup water and 1 cup of sugar in a sauce pan over medium heat and add a habanero pepper sliced in half. Bring to a boil, turn off heat, and steep for 10 mins before straining.
for the marg: combine all ingredients and shake over ice. Rim glass with turbinado sugar, pour marg, and garnish with the top of a habanero pepper.
